Feedback on MPS Discipline Policy
Parents are invited to discuss Minneapolis Public School's discipline policy with the building principal with the goal of 1.) ensuring parents and guardians understand the policy, and 2.) communicating our district commitment to ensuring to the maximum extent possible that misbehavior is addressed in a manner that does not require removal from student's educational program.
Please review the policy linked to the title above and respond with questions or clarifications through this link. You may also speak with the principal about this policy at Northrop during Parent Forums during the week of October 25-October 28. Please stop in our Northrop school office or call 612-668-4520 to schedule a time.
Minneapolis Public Schools is committed to using its discipline policies, practices, and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly educational environment, and to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all students when making disciplinary referrals and imposing disciplinary sanctions.
