Northrop Urban Environmental is a K-5 community school in southeast Minneapolis. Lake Nokomis, Lake Hiawatha and Minnehaha Creek are located just minutes from our school and provide excellent opportunities for students to explore nature in the city. Urban environmental education integrates curriculum with extensive hands-on and outdoor learning opportunities to prepare learners for higher level thinking. High rigor and clear expectations guide each student to reach their academic potential. Our Mission is to ensure that each Northrop student receives a balanced, individual and rigorous education that embraces all academic disciplines with environmental values at its core.

We will also be conducting school tours in 2017 every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
