Northrop Urban Environmental School
During School Hours

Alternate Rain Day: Thursday, October 4th

Northrop students, teachers, staff and parent volunteers will walk along Minnehaha Creek to Minnehaha Falls to raise awareness of the environment, support the need for fitness, and enjoy the autumn weather while helping to raise funds for Northrop!

The annual Northrop Walk-A-Thon raises money for the Northrop PTA. Students should contact family, friends, and neighbors for donations.

This year, we will be raising funds for a long time idea from the Green Team. They would love an outdoor reading area that aligns with the environmental focus of our school. The plan is to create a peaceful reading area for kids with new birch trees, wooden benches, and more depending on donations. They are excited to bring this idea to life!

Parents are invited to participate in the Walk-A-Thon! Volunteer to walk with your child’s classroom and help supervise children along the walk and at Minnehaha Falls.

If you’re interested in volunteering please fill out the Parent Volunteer section of your child’s permission slip and return to your teacher.
