Food Drive for The Sheridan Story

Northrop will be holding a food drive for The Sheridan Story November 4th-8th! There will be bins outside of the office to collect the food. See list below for what food is needed, but take note that canned fruit (~15oz size) is most needed. Financial donations are also great! For more information, visit https://www.thesheridanstory.org/. Reach out to the PTA for questions about our drive.

1. What is The Sheridan Story?

The Sheridan Story is an ever-growing network of food programs, operating in multiple schools. Through the partnerships we have developed between our community partners and schools, we reach thousands of children each week, providing them with a bag of non-perishable food to take home from school for the weekend.

2. What food is needed?

We accept all food from food drives. Any items that are not able to be used by The Sheridan Story will be donated to a local partner food shelf in Minneapolis. It is best if all food items are under 16oz. Please use the following list as a guide.

• Canned Tuna or Chunk Chicken (6oz or less)

• Canned Vegetables

• Canned Fruit **MOST NEEDED

• Canned Soup, Stew or Chili

• White Rice, Pasta or Oatmeal

If you have any questions please let me know.  Thank you!
